  9. PERFORMANCE DURING XI PLAN • Best performing states were Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh - all managed more than 5 % growth in GDP. • Most of hill states also shown less variability.

  14. CROPS CENTRIC INVESTMENT IN 2012-13 • Investment in crops husbandry ranged from 2 to 88% with a mean of 45% • Many important areas got least-NRM, IT in agriculture, cooperation, etc.

FARM VIABILITY • Building capacity of institutions to encourage group formation, • Small and women farmers at all points of value chain • Formation of FPOs- appropriate policy and legal initiatives • BRGF/ TDP/ special packages-demos, mechanization, etc. to be convergedat DPC to effectively implement SCSP/STP component. • Extension reforms-use of ITs for precision farming
