Our Story(2007) DRS employees are: • #1 on the HRA Chart! • Aware of the Wellness Initiative • Competitive in the Champion Teams • #1 2007 Winter Training Challenge • #4 2007 Spring Training Challenge • Interested in learning more about healthy living
Our Story Con’t (2007) We have: • Surpassed HRA goal • Exceeded measurement to reach 30% goal by December 31, 2007 • Reached 43.7% in April • Equals 101 out of 231 PEBB enrollees
Our Story (2007) • Increase HRA’s taken by 2% each month to reach 30% by December 2007 Measurement • January – 16.9% • February – 22.6% • March – 32.3% • April – 43.7%
Our Story(2004-2005) • Supportive Management and Director • Incorporated Wellness into Safety program • Updated policy to include health • Extended the scope and topics • Enticed staff through interesting monthly articles, tips, and prizes How we did it:
Our Story(2005-2006) • Increased Wellness/Health publications • Introduced Uniform Medical Plan HRA reimbursement in “Did You Know” • Word of mouth, one-on-one sharing • Expanded Safety and Health Committee • Spread the message, share enthusiasm, and implement ideas
Our Story(2006-2007) • Appointed Wellness Coordinator • Met with the Director • All were invited. She was open to hearing ideas and concerns. • Developed new Wellness Web site • Launched the Web site at April All Staff meeting
