  1. World War 1! By Nathan (YAY!!!!!)

  2. The Time Period!

  3. Locations! • It took place all over Europe, Africa, The Middle East, and the Pacific islands.

  4. The Causes! • The Archduke of Austria , Franz Ferdinand, was assassinated, by Serbia, causing Austria to go into war. Germany issued a blank check saying that they would help if Austria went into war. Austria sent an ultimatum, meaning that they were starting a war. That was the immediate cause. • Militarism , The Industrial Revolution, More alliances in countries, and Imperialism.

  5. Key people! • Hitler wasn’t the leader of Germany, although he did fight for them. • Wilhelm II set up assassination of archduke of Austria • Prince Max Von Baden temporarily assumed leadership of Germany when Wilhelm II lost control. • Wilson Woodrow was our president at the time.

  6. Key places! • Austria-Hungary • Germany • Bulgaria • Russia • Serbia • Belgium

  7. Key Events! • The archduke of Austria was assassinated.
