Houston RocketsFuture Intern Recruiting Presentation Michael F. Bond
Summary of Daily Activities • Email • Distribute Office Mail • Assist with projects Ex) Rockets Run, Blacktop Battle • Research and plan Rockets Road Jams, Viewing Parties. • Coordinate and distribute various promotional giveaways to proper departments • Running all over the office for signatures • Performing maintenance on the Toyota Tundra Trucks • Planning our monthly Lift Off Parties • Oversee the Marketing Associate program (part time staff) • Assist Clutch the mascot with his daily activities
Project Subscription • The Rockets for years have been handling their Pocket Schedule distribution by making employees take a few sleeves to surrounding business by their homes. I helped establish a new more efficient system of getting them to more appropriate locations and ensuring they actually got to the locations and didn‘t stay in a car trunk like they had in the past.
Internship Objectives • Create as many contacts as possible • Make my face seen all over the office by everyone • Fulfill all of my daily task along with assisting all of my bosses with their objectives. • Set myself up for an easy transition into a full time position. • Enjoy the experience. • Most importantly, help the Houston Rockets become an even more successful organization by ensuring a great fan experience and expanding the Rockets brand as much as possible.
g Four ‘s out of 5 This internship site was a tremendous opportunity for me and I feel like I got everything out of it I possibly could. There were lots of positives but also a few negatives in the experience. For example, I got to meet a lot of very important influential people along with learning how to transition myself into the “Real World” of business. However, I couldn’t give the site a perfect rating due to a tremendous under appreciation for the interns. These people knew how to exploit free labor and did it to the fullest extent. I was forced working events on holidays and every weekend when the entire office was off, Although I didn’t mind doing this, a simple “Great Job” or “We appreciate you doing this on your holiday” would have been nice.
