  2. Reflection: What have we done so far? • Learned some strategies • Discussed prosody, the rhythm and stress of English • Discussed the Color Vowel Chart • Focused on some key sounds, working on minimal pairs, dialogues, etc.

  3. Planning: What are we going to do now? • Focus on syllables, words, and sentences • Practice word and sentence stress • Develop fluency with certain kinds of syllables and words in order to build fluency in the rhythm and stress of English

  4. Syllables! • syllable /sɪləb(ə)l/ noun plural noun: syllables 1. a unit of pronunciation having one vowel sound, with or without surrounding consonants, forming the whole or a part of a word; for example, there are two syllables in water and three in inferno.
