  4. Handout: Lab Safety • In groups, take turns completing the table, picking a hazard from the picture and suggesting/discussing a lab safety rule that could result from this

  5. Discussing answers

  6. Hazards Symbols • Hazard symbols are found on substances to warn you about potential dangers.

  7. Hazard Symbols • Take turns to match the hazard symbol with the explanation

  8. Hazards Symbols: Add table to copy book

  9. Homework! • Create a cartoon comic strip that illustrates the importance of lab rules/understanding hazard symbols • Read and sign and stick the lab rules contract into copy books

  10. Review • Match your hazard symbol to meaning to hazard
