Organization: P. A. L. S. • P. A. L. S. stands for Pets and animal life shelter! • Non Profit Organization that takes in homeless and abandoned animals. • Spade and nuttier their own animals, also a vet is available 4 days a week. • They consist of animals ranging from dogs and cats to iguanas and much more. • This organization runs off donations.
Why We Chose P. A. L. S. Our first and forefront of why we chose this organization is because we all love the animals and wanted to help make a difference in their lives. These animals are stray and neglected turning to anyone for help. We chose to be apart of the cause to help take care of these animals and show them affection.
Volunteering for P. A. L. S. One of the things we did while volunteering was walking the dogs, since they are always cooped up in cages and don’t get to run around as much
Another thing we did while volunteering was cleaning out cages so the animals could have a fresh and clean environment…and sometimes it got really messy!!
The most fun and important thing we did while volunteering, was just showing the animals our affection and seeing how happy and playful they were when we were spending time with them.
The Importance Volunteering has made us realize the importance and the difference it makes to somebody else’s life. We think people should volunteer because not only does it build character, but it makes you feel like you’ve accomplished something good. To volunteer at P. A. L. S. you need patience, the love for animals, and selflessness. You can become a better person…become a volunteer!!

Interview Interviewing: Chris Cooper Q:What are the state/federal/local laws that apply to the animal shelter? A:All animals shelters must spayed and nuttier all their animals. There are inspections yearly, no dogs together, and no over crowding Q:How long do the puppies stay here? A:They end up staying here until adoption, this is a non-killing shelter.
Q: How did P. A. L. S. come to be? A: I used to be the head of the Gulf Coast Humane Society, when moved to another site I realized we had left so much unfinished at the old shelter. This June will be 10 years since I’ve started P.A.L.S in this community.
