Mission • To help teachers teach by providing resources that support the curriculum. • To work together with teachers to ensure that students are effective users of ideas and information. • To foster a love for reading. • To inspire life long learning.
Check out Procedures and Policies for Students • Students must have an orange pass signed by teacher in order to visit library during school hours. • Students will be given a green pass back to class. • Students can check out two books for two weeks. • Students are charged five cents for each day their book is overdue. • Students must be in good standing with library in order to attend field trips, graduation week activities, purchase prom tickets, etc.
Fieldtrips • Teachers must check with library staff to make sure students don’t have overdue books as soon as they submit their list to Mr. Crowder. • Students who have overdue books must return their books or pay for them if lost in order to attend a field trip.
Check out Procedures and Policies for Teachers • Books can be checked out for a month. • Videos for one week. • Multimedia Carts for a week. • Laptop Carts as long as needed to complete research/work. • Multimedia carts and laptop carts must be reserved ahead of time of need.
Reservations • You can reserve the library classroom area, the library computer lab or the laptops by calling the library or you can stop by. • To help you plan, you can check the library’s webpage (media center resources) to view the calendar for openings.
Procedures and Policies for Teachers • Digital camera can be checked out for a week. • Camcorder can be checked out for a week • The library does not provide DVDs or tapes. Teachers are asked to purchase their own. • Please return materials when you are finished with them so others may use them.
Services • Poster Making (one dollar per poster charged to department) • Laminating ($ 0.15 per foot). • We will laminate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. • Conference Room Reservation • Computer lab (29 computers -reservation needed)
