  3. Declarative Sentence • A declarative sentence makes a statement. • It ends with a period. • My teacher loves to teach math.

  4. Interrogative Sentence • An interrogative sentence asks a question. • It ends in a question mark. Do you think we will have recess today?

  5. Exclamatory Sentence • An exclamatory sentence shows strong feeling. • It ends with an exclamation mark. I can’t believe the principal can yell that loud!

  6. Interjection • An interjection is a word or a group of words that expresses strong feeling. • It is not a complete sentence. • Wow! Top of the line up!
