  3. Thenumber of peopleliving in İstanbul is increasingdaybyday as a result of immigrationfromtheruralareas. • Since thepopulationgrows, thenegativeeffectsof thisgrowthalsoincrease.

  4. SOLIDWASTE • What is our PROBLEM ?

  5. Istanbul produces about 14,000 tons of solid waste per day.This is theinevitableoutcome of being a bigcity. Sothe main issue is tolessentheamount of solidwasteandtorecyclethewastesthatareproduced.

  6. As yousee at thegraphicmost of thewastesarerecyclable. But the main problem in İstanbul is thatpeopleare not carefulenoughtoseparatetheirwastesforrecycling. • Somepeopleare not welleducatedandsome of themare not aware of thedanger.

  7. Whenwediscussedthe problem deeplywenoticedthatweshouldcreateawarenessamongpeopleandthisshould start fromourschool. Thus, wetriedtofindsomeenjoyableactivitieswhichaimtoteachstudentstheimportance of recyclingwhilehavingfun.

  8. Firstly, weprepared a video forourschoolandwedemonstrated it tothestudentsfromkindergartentolycee. • Then, westartedtoapplythisproject in ourschoolandstudentsarereallyhavingfunwhentheyarerecycling. • Itbeganto be a habitforthemandalsotheyarerecycling at home. • Let’swatch it together…
