All About Me • My Educational background • B.S. in Business Administration , UVM • M.Ed. , UMass • Currently enrolled in Reading Specialist licensure, American International College • My experience • Co-taught in a substantially separate Special Education classroom for 2 years • Teaching Assistant, first and second grades • 3 years Literacy Assistant Teacher, grades 2 – 5 • Personally • Married for 19 years • Three Children – 16, 14, 8 • Enjoy outdoor fun • skiing, biking, walking • Hobbies include • reading and taking pictures

Everyday MathMath Facts • Math Facts: Addition and Subtraction flashcards will be sent home each week • Facts are to be practiced at home • Weekly fact quizzes (3 min.) will be given every Thursday • End of the year goal: Complete 50 facts in 3 min.

Centers • Wed., Thurs. and Fri • 2 centers each day when I am not meeting with their reading group • Centers Contract: Students are responsible for completing center activities • If work is not finished, it will be homework
Spelling • Lists are based on a specific phonics skill and corresponds to the anthology text each week • 15 words total • 10 phonics ruled based • 3 sight words • 2 review words • Pretest on Monday and challenge words will be substituted depending on the pretest results
Social Studies • Maps • legends, compass rose ,distinguishing between towns, counties, states and country • Heritage • Recognize and appreciate the differences as well as similarities of all our citizens. • Biography Study • Various courageous historic and current individuals • Compare achievements and distinctive qualities
