  5. Initial Thoughts • Stable instrument, though heavy • Clear, sharp images • Accommodating design • No movable stage • Low max magnification • No incorporated image capture

  6. Whisker Detection • Began observation on Pedigo’s samples from last year; electroplated Sn on Cu Metallurgical – 50x SEM – 100x

  7. Whisker Detection, cont’d • Board #133, U41 – SACB/SnCu Metallurgical – 100x SEM – 200x

  8. Conclusions • Have shown 2M scope capable of whisker detection as supplied • 30x eyepieces and 2x auxiliary lens purchased; total magnification 270x • Have to resolve image capture dilemma
