Post Exchange Survey Norm Samuelson District 5490, Arizona, USA NAYEN 2014
Post Exchange Survey • Purpose of the survey • How it is managed • Demonstration • Some sample results
Post Exchange Survey • The primary purpose of the survey is to find reasons for increasing rates of early returns, • to allow us (districts, multi-districts, countries, and RYE as a whole) to improve our programs by identifying and correcting deficiencies.
Post Exchange Survey • The survey is intended to be completed by students near or shortly after the end of their exchange. • Administration of the survey has been greatly simplified, with one survey for all students. • Please try the survey yourself. • Please ask all your INBOUND andOUTBOUND students to complete the survey. • www.YouthExchangeSurvey.info
Survey Results • Results can easily be generated for any • Host District / Multi-District / Country • Sponsor District / Multi-District / Country • Either Gender • NAYEN / EEMA / ABIJ • Those who considered early return • You name it…
Results for some sample groups • We picked some representative samples, to show how we can learn about strengths and weaknesses. • We are not identifying the groups, as we think that would be counter-productive
Acknowledgements • Many districts and multi-districts helped in formulating the survey • It is managed by a committee: • Erwin Zeller, Chair • Dennis White • Peter Golombek • Niels Oehlenschlæger (former member) • Norm Samuelson • It is available to EVERYONE attending NAYEN • This year’s results will be available this summer.
Q21-23 Early Returns Q26 Where and how did the problem(s) originate
PLEASE… • Please remember to ask all your INBOUND and OUTBOUND students to complete the survey around the end of their exchange. • www.YouthExchangeSurvey.info
