  1. Research project: Assessment Criteria – Planning (P) ,Research (R), Development (D), Evaluation (E) Due:4thApril 2014 How can we help our neighbours? Design Brief: A Chinese orphanage is in need of interactive and cost effective toys that will help to entertain the children, give them a sense of belonging and help them to care for something they own. Your school has been asked to propose a project idea that will help to fulfill the needs of these children. With this in mind complete your own DESIGN BRIEF for this project. User: You will need to choose the gender, age and characteristics of the children at the orphanage that you will study and provide for. They may befrom broken families, mayhave been abandoned early on in their lives and mayhave many struggles in their life. They are in need of love and attention and it would be great if these toys could build a sense of togetherness and interaction between children and the adults caring for them.You may use a partner class in the CKY Primary School section in order to relate yourself to the likes and dislikes of children at a specific age or gender. Don’t forget you will need to consider that these children will have different socio-economic backgrounds than your target market.
