Vocab Ch 1-4 Definitions to Study • Palpable – noticeable, intense, obvious • Transgression – breaking of a law or rule • Aptitude – natural ability • Chastise – to correct or punish • Petulantly – touchy, sullen or grumpy manner • Remorse – strong feeling of guilt or regret • Hasten – move or act quickly • Chortled – laughed; giggled • Foreshadowing – details or clues that hint to upcoming events • Point of view – view point or perspective
