  28. HSV – High School Value Prior to 2013, in order to be assigned a label of A, schools and districts had to meet growth and have a QDI of 200 or above. This year, however, another number -- high school value (HSV) -- took both QDI and graduation rates into account, and if a district scored a 280 or above with that figure, they could be an A school whether or not their QDI reached the 200 mark.

Note: In 2013, there are only 13 districts that met the following criteria: * District label as either A or B * Schools in these districts are either all A’s or a combination of A and B schools. (A district had to have at least one A school to be included in this group.) * All schools met growth. Jackson County is one of the thirteen that met the criteria to be included in this group. A list of these district is included on the next slide.
