MAGTF ORGANIZATION • AVIATION COMBAT ELEMENT (ACE) • TASK - ORGANIZED TO CONDUCT AVIATION SUPPORT AND TACTICAL OPERATIONS. FUNCTIONS INCLUDE AIR RECONNAISSANCE, ANTI-AIR WARFARE, ASSAULT SUPPORT, OFFENSIVE AIR SUPPORT, AND ELECTRONIC WARFARE. CONSTRUCTED AROUND A MARINE AVIATION UNIT.
MAGTF ORGANIZATION • COMBAT SERVICE SUPPORT ELEMENT (CSSE) • TASK - ORGANIZED TO PROVIDE SUPPORT NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH THE MAGTF MISSION. PROVIDES SUPPLY, MAINTENANCE, TRANSPORTATION, ENGINEER, HEALTH, POSTAL, DISBURSING, PRISONER OF WAR, AUTOMATED INFORMATION SYSTEMS, EXCHANGE, UTILITIES,AND LEGAL SERVICES. • NCF UNIT NORMALLY ASSIGNED HERE.

THE NCB PROVIDES AS INITIAL REVIEW OF PLANS, PROGRAMS, AND CONSTRUCTION CAPABILITIES; ASSIGNS PRIORITIES AND DEADLINES; AND DIRECTS DISTRIBUTION OF UNITS OR MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT.

NCF Organization • NAVAL CONSTRUCTION FORCE SUPPORT UNIT (NCFSU) • THE NCFSU PROVIDES OPERATIONAL CONSTRUCTION LOGISTICS SUPPORT TO THE DEPLOYMENT AREA FOR AN NCR OF UP TO FOUR NMCB’S. • CONTROLS REQUISITIONING, EXPEDITING, RECEIVING, ISSUING, AND DELIVERING CONSTRUCTION (CLASS IV) MATERIALS. • PROVIDES MAINTENANCE SUPPORT FOR NCF AUXILLARY CONSRTUCTION AND TRANSPORTAITION EQUIPMENT. • OVERHAULS AND DOES SPECIALIZED REPAIR OF EQUIPMENT COMPONENTS. • PROVIDES THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE CAPABILITIES FOR ROCK CRUSHERS, ASPHALT AND CONCRETE PLANTS, LARGE PAVING MACHINES, AND LONG - HAUL TRANSPORTATION WHEN REQUIRED.
NCF Organization • NAVAL MOBILE CONSRUCTION BATTALION (NMCB) • PROVIDE RESPONSIVE MILITARY QUALITY CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT TO THE NAVY, MARINE CORPS, AND OTHER FORCES ENGAGED IN MILITARY OPERATIONS. • CONSTRUCT BASE FACILITIES • CONDUCT DEFENSIVE AS REQUIRED BY THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE DEPLOYMENT SITUATION. • SUPPORT BATTLE DAMAGED REPAIR OPERATIONS (RRR). • CONDUCT DISASTER CONTROL RECOVERY OPERATIONS AND EMERGENCY PUBLIC WORKS OPERATING FUNCTIONS.
NCF Organization • NMCB AIR DETATCHMENT • THE AIR DET IS A TASK - ORGANIZED ELEMENT OF AN NMCB. IT IS COMPOSED OF 89 PERSONNEL AND 38 ITEMS OF CESE. IS LIMITED TO 250 - 300 SHORT TONS OF AIR SHIPMENT. THE AIR DET IS USED TO REPAIR IMMEDIATE WAR DAMAGE AND CONSTRUCT URGENT PROJECTS REQUIRED BY MAJOR OPERATIONAL PLANS.
NCF Organization • NMCB CIVIC ACTION TEAM (SEABEE TEAM) • THE CIVIC ACTION SEABEE TEAM IS A SMALL, HIGHLY MOBILE CONSTRUCTION UNIT THAT IS TASK ORGANIZED FROM NMCB ASSETS. THE CIVIC ACTION TEAM PROVIDES SOCIOECONOMIC COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, DISASTER RELIEF, AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE. THE TEAM SUPERVISES NATION - ASSISTANCE CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS ON - THE - JOB TRAINING AND CLASSROOM INSRUCTION IN THIRD WORLD NATIONS.

NCF Organization • AMPHIBIOUS CONSTRUCTION BATTALION (ACB) • THE MISSION OF AN ACB IS TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING SUPPORT TO NAVAL BEACH GROUP DURING THE INITIAL ASSAULT AND LANDING PHASE OF AMPHIBIOUS OPERATIONS. • ASSEMBLING AND INSTALLING PONTOON CAUSEWAYS. • INSTALLING AND OPERATING SHIP TO SHORE FUEL SYSTEMS. • ASSEMBLING AND OPERATING SELF PROPELLED PONTOON BARGES FOR LIGHTERAGE AND TRANSFER OPERATIONS. • ASSEMBLING AND OPERATING WARPING TUGS IN CONJUNCTION WITH CAUSEWAYS, FUEL SYSTEMS, AND SALVAGE WORK. • MAINTAINING CONSTRUCTION AND AUTOMOTIVE EQUIPMENT ASSIGNED TO THE NAVAL BEACH GROUP • PROVIDING LIMITED CONSTRUCTION IN SUPPORT OF BEACH IMPROVEMENT.
NCF Organization • CONSTRUCTION BATTALION MAINTENANCE UNIT (CBMU) • THE CBMU MAINTAINS, OPERATES AND REPAIRS PUBLIC WORKS, UTILITIES, AND OTHER FACILITIES AT AN ESTABLISHED ADVANCE BASE AFTER THE NMCB UNIT THAT STARTED THE CONSTRUCTION HAVE DEPARTED. THE CBMU MAY BE ATTACHED TO THE NMCB TO HELP COMPLETE THE FACILITIES THAT IT WILL SUBSEQUENTLY OPERATE AND MAINTAIN. • DESIGNATING PUBLIC WORKS RESPONSIBILITIES AT AN ADVANCE BASE. • MAINTAIN AND CONSTRUCT ON A LIMITED BASIS, WATERFRONT FACILITIES, RUNWAYS, TAXIWAYS, PARKING APRONS, AND HELICOPTER PADS. • OPERATING AND MAINTAINING THE BASE UTILITIES SYSTEMS EXCEPT FOR EXPEDITIONARY SYSTEMS, (AAFS). • PERFORMING ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE BASE AS REQUESTED.
NCF Organization • CONSTRUCTION BATTALION UNIT (CBU) • A CBU PROVIDES ENGINEERING SUPPORT THAT OTHER NCF UNITS DO NOT PROVIDE. IT IS ALSO USED TO PROVIDE MANPOWER POOLS TO SUPPORT NMCB’S AND NAVY FLEET HOSPITALS.
NCF Organization • UNDERWATER CONSTRUCTION TEAMS (UCT) • THE MISSION OF A UCT IS TO PROVIDE UNDERWATER ENGINEERING, CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR CAPABILITIES TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE NAVY, MARINE CORPS, AND OTHER FORCES. UCT’S ARE CAPABLE OF ACCOMPLISHING COMPLEX IN SHORE AND DEEP OCEAN UNDERWATER CONSTRUCTION TASK. UCT’S MAY OPERATE AS AN INDEPENDENT UNIT, A SUPPLEMENT TO AN NCF, OR A SUPPLEMENT TO ANOTHER MILITARY ORGANIZATION.
