Assignment 1: Title: Explore the effects of socialisation on the health and wellbeing of individuals (P1 P2 M1 D2) • Task: Produce a LEAFLET describing: • The effects of primary and secondary socialisation and the ways that these could impact on values, attitudes, behaviour and lifestyle choices, and the ways that this could in turn affect health and wellbeing, with reference to relevant examples

  3. Primary and Secondary SocialisationP1 P2 M1 D1 • Primary socialisation is socialisation during the early years of childhood and is carried out by the family or close community. It is during primary socialisation that children first begin to learn about the basic beliefs and values and other features of culture making up the way of life of their society. They also begin to acquire a sense of who they are as individuals. In most cases these identities formed during childhood will remain throughout people’s lives and are much more difficult to change in adulthood than other identities.
