Adjectives • An adjective is a word that describes, identifies, or modifies (changes) a noun. • Ex. The short girl rides her bike.

Adjectives • Adjectives describe nouns by answering one of these questions: • 1. What kind is it? • 2. How many are there? • 3. Which one is it?

Adverbs An adverb is a word that modifies (changes) a verb, an adjective, or another adverb. adverbs can make your writing more precise, interesting, and dramatic by telling more about the verbs in your sentences.
AdverbsWhen an adverb modifies an action verb, it can: • Modify how an action happens: Ex: God mercifully forgave Adam and Eve. How did God forgive?
