6th grade social studies • In 6th grade Social Studies we cover the geography, history, economy, and the government of each of the following parts of the world: • Europe • Latin America • Canada • Australia
Class routines • Daily- • -Bell work (maintained in a notebook or folder) is due at the end of the week • -Quizzes (usually announced ahead of time) • -Daily assignments (students will be told when these will be due)- We usually work on these assignments in class

6th Grade Earth Science • Science Vocabulary – Introduced prior to unit. This is done usually through graphic organizer's!
Earth Science • Journal Writing – Periodically students will write their thoughts on experiments and science ideas throughout the course of the year.
Earth Science • Labs – Students will participate in various experiments or participate through developing hypotheses from teacher demo of experiment.
Earth Science • Computers – Students will be ask to complete some assignments on the computer such as web quest, do research on the computer for assignments , virtual labs on the computer, and earth science games that accompany the unit.
Earth Science • Science Folder – Students were ask at the beginning of the year to have a science folder or section in their notebook labeled science. At the end of each unit, their science folder will be graded.
Earth Science • Culminating projects – Students will be given a menu of choices of projects that go with each unit.
Earth Science • Unit test will be given prior to the unit to assess what information the students know and a post to see how they did.
