  4. What his life was like • He grew wealthy (rich). • De Soto was a wealthy trader and a Indian slave.

  5. Fun facts • He helped conquer the empire of Peru. • The 600 hundred men that were with De Soto died except for 311 men.

  6. Bad news… • He died of a disease on May 2,1542,which is in Louisiana. • He died without treasure in his own territory.
