Our Mission • Mission Statement • It is our purpose of the Mahopac Central School District to insure that every student in our schools will acquire the skills, knowledge, attitudes and interpersonal skills that will permit him or her to operate effectively in the broader community and lead a successful productive life in a changing world. • Redistricting is a study of the demographics, facilities and educational needs to make sure we are using our resources in the most effective way to achieve our mission.

Pre – School Survey Sample Data • A survey of the community is needed to determine the number of Pre-School Students. • Information will be imported into our databases to project the demographics of the actual students that will be affected by any redistricting proposal.

Preliminary Research September 2003- February 2004 • Preliminary redistricting committee met to study various building configurations. • This group developed a listing of school districts that have various configurations. • This listing will be presented to the Redistricting Committee to study.
Preliminary Research September 2003- February 2004 • Fourteen (14) Initial Configurations have been identified. • The Redistricting Committee will conduct site visitations • to determine viability of the configuration i.e. an educational cost / benefit analysis.
Preliminary Research September 2003- February 2004 • Technology and Transportation Departments purchased redistricting software. • Trans-finder was updated with the latest demographics. • This new program in conjunction with the Transportation Department expertise will prepare redistricting models for the community.
