How do we get the right balance between telling people about Jesus and meeting their physical needs?
compassion| kəmˈpaSHən | noun deep awareness of the suffering of another coupled with a wish to relieve it. ORIGIN Middle English: via Old French from ecclesiastical Latincompassio(n-), from compati ‘suffer with.’
“…he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd.” Mark 6:34
He healed people He taught people He shows you what to do
“They went out and preached that people should repent. They drove out many demons and anointed sick people with oil and healed them.” Mark 6:12-13
“Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Christ there. When the crowd heard Philip and saw the miraculous signs he did, they all paid close attention to what he said.” Acts 8:5
He healed people He taught people He shows you what to do He fed people He supplies the power He makes an unreasonable request
