Formation • To make this imperfect tense: • imperfect stem + imperfect endings • To make the imperfect stem: • put the verb in the nous form in present tense and take off the -ons • Imperfect endings: • je- ais • tu- ais • il/elle- ait • nous- ions • vous- iez • ils/elles- aient
Travailler • je travaillais- I used to work • tu travaillais- you(inf) used to work • il/elle travaillait- he/she used to work • nous travaillions- we used to work • vous travailliez- you(for)/y’all used to work • ils/elles travaillaient- they used to work
Choisir • je choisissais- I used to choose • tu choisissais- you(inf) used to choose • il/elle choisissait- he/she used to choose • nous choisissions- we used to choose • vous choisissiez- you(for) used to choose • ils/elles choisissaient- they used to choose
