Who May Submit? • Any member of AHI may submit curricular material for consideration for this award.* • If you are not a member of AHI, it is simple to join – Go to the AHI website: http://www.a4hi.org/?q=node/6 • Up to two submissions from one individual may be considered for this award. * Members of AHI Board and Editorial Board not eligible. Submission Guidelines • Text submissions – no more than 50 pages in length • PowerPoint – no more than one PowerPoint presentation • Any single attachment may not exceed 5 MB in size • For curricula exceeding these limits, submit representative material that illustrates the award criteria.
Recognition of Winning Entries • Winners will be notified by November 15, 2010. • Winners will be recognized at the 2010 AHI Scientific Symposium on December 6, 2009 in Orlando, Florida. • Cash prizes will be awarded to winners. • First place - $500; Second place - $300; Third place - $200 • Winning submissions will be highlighted on the AHI home page. How to Submit Entries • Submission deadline: October 1, 2010 • Submit materials via the AHI website: https://a4hi.org/review/ • You will need to have an AHI user name and password to access the site (you obtain this when you join AHI). • Follow the guidelines on the website for submission of material for peer review. Tips to Increase Your Chances of Winning • Every submission should identify educational objectives for the curricular material • Submissions should identify evaluation methods that have been or can be used to assess effectiveness of the material. • For case studies, submitters should highlight appropriate questions and teaching points that apply the lessons from the case to the focus content area.
