EDIBLE FINGER PAINT: JUICE DYE OR FOOD COLORING STIRRED INTO COOL WHIP OR VANILLA PUDDING…….WORKS EVEN WITH THE SUGAR FREE PRODUCT
Play dough and clays….. 1. PRACTICAL (NON-HARDENING) PLAY DOUGH: 1 CUPS FLOUR; 1/2 CUP SALT; 2 TBSP CREAM OF TARTAR; 1 CUPS WATER AND 2 TBSP VEGETABLE OIL COMBINE 1ST 3 ITEMS IN SAUCEPAN; COMBINE LIQUIDS AND JUICE DYES (OPTIONAL)…..ADD TO FLOUR MIXTURE, STIR AND COOK (MED-LOW) UNTIL MIXTURE IS DIFFICULT TO STIR (~ 5 MIN). COOL, KNEAD AND USE. 2. EDIBLE CLAY (AND IT IS NUTRITOUS) 1/2 CUP FLOUR; 1/2 CUP WATER;1 CUP OATMEAL COMBINE & MIX (MORE FLOUR IF VERY STICKY)…..KNEAD 3-4 MIN AND MOLD. BAKE WHEN DONE. CAN ADD JUICE DYES.

MIX 1 CUP SOLID SHORTENING AND 1 TBSP CORNSTARCH TOGETHER…..ADD FOOD COLORING OR JUICE DYE THINK OF A NON-VISION IMPARING HALLOWEEN MASK OR A TATOO (KEEP AWAY FROM EYES)…..AND IT WILL ALL WASH OFF THIS IS SIMILAR TO THEATRICAL GREASE PAINT 2. AN ALTERNATE MIX IS 1 TBSP COLD CREAM, 2 TBSP CORNSTARCH & 1 TBSP WATER MIXED WITHCOLORANT ………AND AGAIN, IT WASHES OFF WITH SOAP AND WATER.
A couple of household items …. Water not draining? …pour 1 cup washing soda (sodium carbonate) in water as close to drain as possible; should go down in a minute or so. Don’t have washing soda? …use 1 cup baking soda followed by 3 cups of boiling water! Variation on these… (if more potency is needed) …follow up with a cup of vinegar……bubble, bubble, toil and trouble. But it works!
