  1. 2.3 Classifying Numbers Create a new entry in your math journal titled Classifying Numbers On your journal page, tell me in your own words what a Venn Diagram is for Next, find out three things you have in common with someone at your table group and three things that you DO NOT have in common with them and record them on a t-chart in your journal. Be ready to share if I call on you.

  2. Venn Diagram This is a way to compare two different things that may have some things in common and some differences. SAME DIFFERENT DIFFERENT

  3. Common Factors • Two products may share some of the same factors: 18 21

  4. Common Multiples • Two multiples may share some of the same landmark numbers: 9 4

  5. Overlapping Sections • When two things have certain characteristics in common, those commonalities go in the overlapping section in the middle : 4 9
