KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATOR • Record of forest crime (no. of incidences increase/decrease) • Statistics on annual resource harvest (monitor dependency on forest resources) • Periodical monitoring of prey and tiger population • Monitoring of vegetative growth improvement by setting permanent plots
CREATE POLITICAL WILL • Enhance credibility of the country in the face of the global context • Need to demonstrate importance of tiger in context to forest conservation (direct and indirect) • Forest serve as carbon sink to secure benefit from carbon sink • Forest serve as shelter belt during natural calamities to protect human life and property • Sustain use of forest resources (aquatic and non-aquatic)
