  4. Where can I work? School Training Institute Hospital SishuPolli Plus (SPP)

  5. The School The school consists of mainstream and special needs education. In addition, there are two hostels (boys and girls) for the orphaned children or for those that are ‘boarding’.

  9. Patient Worries • Pressure Sores • Pains • Sexual Worries • Bladder Management • Anxiety: Not knowing what’s happening • Carer: “If he is paralysed then the whole family is paralysed.” • Giving up hope – Suicidal • Over Reliance on God

  10. Challenges • Language Barrier • Lack of understanding of what counselling is from staff, patients and carers • “How do you feel?” • No working ethical framework • Lack of privacy and confidentiality • Homesickness • Heat and Humidity
