The Action Verb • If it’s an action verb: • cross out any prepositional phrases • Label the verb with a V • Label the subject with an S • Ask who or what receives the action? >if there is a noun to receive it- DO 5. Ask who or what receives the DO? >if there is a noun to receive it- IO
