Missouri State – Springfield • Missouri State University is a public, comprehensive university system with a mission in public affairs, whose purpose is to develop educated persons • The last two years of your Bachelor’s degree is under the auspices of MSU – Springfield – the main campus under the MSU system. You will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in General Business from Missouri State University

Two Great Universities One Great Program • Liaoning Normal University (LNU) and Missouri State University (MSU) created the LNU-MSU College of International Business in 2000. The language of instruction is English, and all faculty meet the hiring standards of both universities • You also have the option to complete a Missouri State University BS degree in General Business, while staying all four years in Dalian. Studying in China will cost approximately $10,000 (including housing, etc) per academic year
LNU versus MSU • MSU deals with issues relating to Academics, hiring of instructors and admission of students • LNU deals with issues relating to dorms, school building (and equipment) and recruitment of Chinese in-plan students
Director of International Students Responsibilities • Review prospective applications - responsible for recruitment and admissions • Work closely with the ISA Executive Committee and provide a link between you and administration at LNU and MSU • Responsible for academic affairs involving you • Liaison between you and Chinese class advisors providing semester schedules and important news

Admissions: English Proficiency • Your acceptance to our program is contingent upon an English proficiency test, if it is required: • This should be either TOEFL http://www.ets.org/toefl/ or IELTS (http://www.ielts.org/default.aspx). LNU – MSU requires a score of 61 iBT and 5.5, respectively, on these tests. If you have attended or are attending a high school in the USA, Canada and U.K. or the Maple Leaf schools here in Dalian, or are from an English-speaking country, you will not need to take an English proficiency test

Registration • Registration for all international Students starts on February 15, 2012 • Classes start February 20, 2012 • Tuition payment is due after you register for your classes (Please see School Fees)
Your Responsibilities • You must keep track of your status as a student on https://mygrizzlyden.missouristate.edu/cp/home/loginfYou are solely responsible for determining which classes you are registered or not registered for • You must use your live.missouristate.edu email account for all class related activities. The Director of International Students will send you regular information about important dates and information to this email address

Curriculum Information • Listed on the next page are the courses and their respective credit hours that you need to take during your first two years to receive your AA degree and to prepare you for the COBA (College of Business Administration) courses in your last two years. (Please see Tom Lightner regarding which COBA classes are needed to graduate with a BS in General Business). Note:Although there are 72 credit hours listed, you only need 62 credit hours to get an AA degree. Please see Tom Lightner for all curriculum information
