GOOGLE DRIVE SECURITY CONCEPTS Share folders versus individual files. It makes management and adding/removing permissions simpler. Sharing Permission are inherited by the folder (cascade into the folder structure). Shared with my team (they get all folders) Shared with sub-contractor for this client/project Shared with the specific client Any document moved into or created in a given folder is shared with everyone who is included at that specific folder level. If you move a document to another folder, the permissions change.
The folder icons display a person to indicate they are shared.
Google Docs & Sheets • Emulate basic features of Microsoft Word & Excel • Real-time edits with any shared editors plus locate where a collaborator is working • In document chat for collaboration • Can include links to other parts of the document • Revisions go back years with the ability to audit and recover changes • I’ve used docs & sheets with more than 20 collaborators
