Use Energy • All organisms need nutrients and water for energy • Some organisms make their own food (AUTOTROPHS) • Plants • Some organisms can not make their own food (HETEROTHROPHS) • Animals
RESPOND to the ENVIRONMENT • All organisms react to changes in their environment or a STIMULUS • Organisms react to a stimulus with a response
GROW & DEVELOP • All organisms change and become more complicated as it grows
REPRODUCE • All organisms need to reproduce to keep their species alive
