  1. Director – Finance and Sponsorship Role Responsibilities • Manage the finances of the healthcare • club • Solicit sponsors for external funding • Apply for available internal sources of funds from MIT • Excellent opportunity to gain finance and • budgeting experience • Maintain club membership list and club accounts • Implement a standardized budgeting process to facilitate year-to-year management of club funds • Coordinate sponsorships

Director – Speaker Series Role Responsibilities • Organize and promote speaker events • throughout the school year • Engage with leading experts and recruit them as speakers for the club • Coordinate logistics on the day of the event • Provide publicity and marketing materials to promote event for distribution to the club • Last year 3 first year students held this position and rotated responsibilities

Director – Communications Role Responsibilities • Communicate to the Sloan Healthcare Club via the newsletter about upcoming opportunities, healthcare related events, and resources • Publicize the club on MIT Sloan Google Groups and in larger Healthcare related forums • Solicit events and opportunities from members, Healthcare Club partners, and the larger Healthcare Community • To effectively communicate MIT Sloan Healthcare Club events within the organization and help keep the Sloan Healthcare community connected with each other, including prospective students, current students, and alumnae. 

  4. Director – Alumni and External Affairs Role Responsibilities • Maintain contact with and engage alumni. Create and maintain list of local alumni • Organize alumni mixers and networking events • Identify opportunities to partner with other on-campus and off-campus organizations to conduct joint events • To facilitate interactions between MIT Sloan • alumni in the healthcare field and club members • To facilitate interactions amongst MIT Sloan alumni and help them stay in touch with each other • To facilitate interactions between MIT Sloan’s Healthcare club and external MIT and non-MIT organizations (100K, MITER, etc.)

  5. Director – Web and Marketing Role Responsibilities • Create the club’s web interfaces and identify marketing opportunities for club events • Maintain healthcare club website and club email lists • Create and update BioInnovations conference website • Create marketing materials for club events • Publicize club events through social media sites

  6. Director – Careers and Interview preparation Role Responsibilities • Collate and distribute information on the healthcare industry and compile information on companies that recruit on campus • Organize resume reviews • Organize coffee chats between 1Y and 2Y students for recruiting help • Conduct interview training workshops and prepare associated materials • Help educate and prepare fellow students for • recruiting in the healthcare industry

Director – Case Competition Role Responsibilities • Organize the Healthcare Club's case competition, an annual event that brings together teams from top universities and business schools in the Northeast. • Participating teams have a chance to answer a real-world business question from a Cambridge-area biotechnology company and to present their recommendations to a judging panel of senior-level healthcare executives. Usually held in combination with the Healthcare Conference, the case competition provides one of the club's best opportunities to network both with our colleagues at other top-tier business schools and with executives in the Cambridge/Boston area. • Select company to sponsor competition and give the case • Recruit judges • Work with sponsor company to write the case • Coordinate logistics for day of event • Last year 4 first year students ran this event with input from 2 second years
