  2. Figura El Valle Imperial de California: el impacto ambiental de la transformación de una zona árida en zona regable y sus consecuencias como problemas de drenaje y salinización de suelos.

  3. Figura . Vista de la transformación del Delta del Nilo después de varios milenios de influencia humana que ha ocasionado problemas tales como: mal drenaje (aumento del nivel freático de los suelos), restricciones en el uso del agua, salinización de suelos y contaminación del agua.
