Key Driver for Proposed Deferrals • Ensure the final MMS FAT completes by 30Jun08, allowing 2 months for integration & EDS4 activities prior to the 168 hour test start on 1Sep08 • This was the direction provided to the ERCOT & ABB MMS teams by the Nodal and ABB executives on 28Nov07 • The proposed deferrals will help MMS meet the Nodal program timeline http://nodal.ercot.com 4

MMS2 FAT Status • MMS2 FAT started on 3Dec07 with a targeted completion of 11Jan08 • FAT completed on 25Jan08; 2 week delay allowed correction and retesting of all severity 1 and 2 defects • 555 structured tests completed with an 89% pass rate • All severity 1 & 2 defects from other Nodal projects were reviewed; MMS team and defect originator(s) determined that all were: 1) part of a future release, 2) fixed and successfully re-tested, or 3) reclassified • MMS2 now deployed to various downstream systems (e.g., EDS, EIP, INT) http://nodal.ercot.com 7

  8. MMS3 pre-FAT Status • MMS3 pre-FAT started on 4Feb08 with a targeted completion of 15Feb08 • MMS3 is comprised of 159 structured tests • At the end of day 2 of testing, 59 tests were complete with a 97% pass rate • 33 defects have been identified; no sev 1 or sev 2 http://nodal.ercot.com 8
