MMS4 pre-FAT Status • MMS4 pre-FAT started on 2Apr08 with a targeted completion of 16Apr08 • 275 structured tests completed with a 94% pass rate • New functionality was tested using an updated PSS/E data set created by ERCOT resources from MMS, EDS & INT • CIM importer tested using CIM schema v1.8 with data from 29Feb08 that was supplemented with data created by ERCOT resources from MMS, EDS & INT NOTE: to the extent possible, the same data is being used for EDS4 running MMS3 software • Severity 1 defects: 0 • Severity 2 defects: 3 (one deferred to ERCOT for additional information; one corrected and ready for retest; one S&B retested SPR partially failed and is targeted to be fixed and retested during FAT) • Total defects: ~120 http://nodal.ercot.com 5
MMS4 FAT Plans • MMS4 FAT is scheduled to start 22Apr08 • Initial loading and smoke testing in DEV and FAT is estimated to take approximately 1 week • Regression testing on the new functionality will take place using the MMS4 pre-FAT PSS/E data set; this is estimated to take approximately 2 weeks • With an objective of supporting migration to a common Nodal CIM model and data set, work continues on validating the schema with NMMS & ABB, and with NMMS, INT & EDS on a common set of test data • ~1000 MMS4 FAT regression tests will be conducted using the common Nodal CIM schema and CIM data file; detailed re-planning for this activity is underway • MMS and Release Management will work with all downstream systems (e.g., INT, iDEV, EDS) to make this release available when feasible for their respective environments http://nodal.ercot.com 6
