Call Program From PAF Under the Tools marker on the Menu bar Only Family Insight and/or Ancestral Quest access the PAF database. We will now look at Ancestral Quest click
Ancestral Quest Need to initialize AQ Select the box – Enable PAF Compatibility Mode. Make sure Enable LDS Ordinance Data is also selected. click

Finding the Person Click on the binoculars. Ways to search Enter the RIN. select OK click
FamilySearch access There is a FamilySearch dropdown tab on the menu bar. Could select on Link (Sync) Individual (or hot key Ctrl+E) Able to sync more with Link (Sync) Groups click
New Window Don’t try to Sync all you records Select from a list click
Ancestral Quest’s Search Menu This is the Search Window for those we want to Sync. We are starting with Timothy Phelps. Select the pull down arrow on Selections by Relationship Select Family click

Results Results of the selection is 11 Now all 11 persons will be synced with nFS. Select OK click
Start Matching Back to the Sync Window Start the matching by Selecting – Start Matching. click
Login Login for the first usage of newFamilySearch. click
Matching Result Seven Positive Matches One Possible Match Three could not be found. Need to select the View for each. click
Positive Match Window Cnt column shows the number of matches both High and Medium. Preview Select Select All click
Verify Window Each of the seven person you are Syncing will give this window to verify you really want to sync and – Link Only. Select Proceed click
Synced Positive Matches Completed the Sync with the seven positive matches. Preview the select person. click
View of Possible Match At the Sync Window, we selected View of the Possible Matches. Mark as a match. Select Sync click
No Match Explanation window. Select the Search. click
Search Window More of an open search. Select Search click
Search Results Scores are from 1-5 Look at the data. Mark as the Same Select Sync click
Completed Sync A Dot is placed on the right. click
Compare Data Select FamilySearch on Menu Bar then Review Individual in the dropdown Menu. OR the short cut is to hold down the Ctrl key as you press the E key. When you click on the box next to the data you want to move to your record, an Action window appears. After your make your selection, that selection moves to the top of the list and shows green and an arrow pointing to your data. Save click
Saved Data Used Ctrl + E to get the preview again. Select - Parents and Siblings to see the sealing to parents data. click
Parents and Siblings Window When the window is displayed, the neither family is expanded. Selected either “+” next to the family and the data expands to reveal the data on the family. The children are not expanded until you select the “+” next to their name. Select the Sealing to Parent date you want. Select Process to save the data to your file. click
Spouses Children Window Used Ctrl + E to get the preview of Timothy Phelps and select the Spouses Children button. Selected the “+” to expand the Family with Zipporah Williams. Data to be moved was selected and son John was expanded. Work to be done with sons Timothy and John on nFS. Completed what could be done with sealing dates of children and selected Process. Checked what data needed to be moved to my file for the other ten individuals that were synced. Click
