Summary of Accomplishments • Purpose and responsibilities of the group • To develop and enhance the Geospatial Profile of the FEA document and related resources to improve integration of geospatial capabilities into governmental business planning activities • Current Status • Version 1.1 published • Version 2.0 commissioned • Accomplishments in 2006 • Version 1.1 approved and published by FGDC and CIO Council Architecture and Infrastructure Committee • Technical editors hired to rewrite and reconcile Profile guidance with respect to agency comments and to the target architecture of the Geospatial Line of Business (LoB) • Emerging Issues • Formalization and public awareness of Geospatial LoB need to take place before Version 2.0 can be promulgated • Specific example guidance for approach still needed as vignettes in the Profile • Next Steps • Version 2.0 to be reviewed by the Geospatial Community of Practice, approved by CIO Council and FGDC
