2. Let the game begin!
3. Floor Hockey Affective Test Purpose:
To assess students on non skill components before, during, and after the game. Equipment:
One stick per student
One puck and 2 goals per game.
One whistle for head official.
Cones to mark boundaries if necessary.
4. Grading
This test was worth ten points.
This test was graded on a ten point scale.
92.3% of the class received an A.
Three students received a bonus point for going above and beyond.
Three students lost a point for violating class rules and direct instruction.
5. What to look for…. Sportsmanship
Good sportsmanship includes not arguing with officials, not arguing with the other team, not arguing with members of your own team, and congratulating other players before the game, during the game, and after the game.
Fair Play
Fair play includes playing the game by the rules, and working together with teammates.
6. The Bonus When designing an affective test always make sure the grading criteria is as clear as possible (e.g. did student shake the opposing teams hand after the game).
- However the bonus was designed to create an environment where all students congratulate each other and play fairly.
7. Bonus…. Reward Students with a sticker when they receive a bonus. Call time to the game and let the class know what that student did to receive a bonus.
Or reward Students with a healthy treat to add to their lunch or for an after school snack.
8. Bonus Students! Wes- Great official, played very close attention to the game and enforced high sticking effectively. Blake W.- Reminded classmates to keep their stick down even opposing players. Tyler- Was very enthusiastic during the game, congratulated the other team with great enthusiasm, went above and beyond just saying nice shot.

90-80= B
80-70 = C
70-60= D
60 or below = F
* Bonus of plus one added for anything that went above and beyond in regards to sportsmanship, or negative one for any disciplinary problems outside of the game.

13. Student X Was a great example of how not to play the game and a great example of how not to treat other players.
Was constantly throwing his stick, which is illegal and very dangerous to the other players.
When his team scored player x rubbed it in the others team face.
Refused to shake hands with the opposing team prior to the game.
