  12. NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIPTIONS Aim: Raise newsletter subscriptions • OutInCanberra stall at event • Explain what organisation does • Explain benefits of newsletter • Subscribe on the spot

  13. NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIPTIONS Currently have 45,000 subscribers AIM: 9% increase in subscribers (4,000) • 60% social media • 30% ticket buyers • 10% normal subscription rate

TICKET PRICES • Adult price: $37 • Concession: $30 • Includes: Free entry to after-party, hire of equipment (including gear for snow tent and ice skates – must bring own socks, otherwise socks are available for purchase at $5). • OutInCanberra package: $43 • Includes: free drink on arrival, photograph in snow tent VIP (no line-up!) and free entry to Academy, as well as drink on arrival.

  16. PROMOTIONS • Social media campaign: Facebook and Twitter • Displays in partner’s shopfronts/ posts on their social media • Media releases sent to Canberra media: City News, Canberra Times, Canberra museums and tourist attractions.

  17. RISKS • Low ticket sales: Review ticket sales 1 week prior to commencement of event. Review prices, increase promotional activity. • Bad weather: Hire additional tents. Only consider moving date or cancelling event IF weather is dangerous. • Not enough newsletter subscriptions: Increase promotional activity and review OIC ticket package price.
