  2. A new world. • Imagine a new world, where everybody stopped littering and our mother earth was clean and healthy. Well we know that we are not living that life. It is nearly impossible, but who said anything in life was easy? It is a challenge, but if we all pull together we can make it. We were exploiting our mother earth and littering right on her surface. She is just now starting to say, “ENOUGH!” and we are hearing her loud and clear. We have tried numerous solutions, and not many have worked. But I’m here to say don’t give up, we still have time on that ticking clock…

  3. The experiment. • I have gone over and over in my head how to save the earth. I now realize that I can only do my part. My final solution was simply reducing the litter that we humans create. My experiment was to visit local courts and public paths and cleaning them of trash. I have succeeded this in a matter of 20 minutes each day and what a difference it made! I realize that it may be all we need to do to stop polluting our water ways and even our food. I never realized that such a miniscule act could make an elephantine impact.

  4. I have an idea • My idea can be a big difference. I took some time to come to me, but all in all it has come like a cheetah on the prowl. My idea is simple yet extravagant. All we have to do is just not be a litter bug. After all we should be saying everyday is earth day because everyday we are living on the earth. We have to be smart and make this into a habit of ours, not just something to discuss for talent 21. We need to pick up trash when we see it and through it in the trash and do the same with our trash.

  5. Pros and cons • What can happen if you don’t litter: By not littering, you can both save the environment and yourself. Our environment would be clean and healthy everywhere. You can even save animals lives as well as your own. This is an impact worth making! • What can happen if you do litter: Have you ever seen those littering sighns that say, “$200 littering fine”? Well if you litter you might as well give up your wallet. When you litter police can take your information, license, and picture and have you in the system forever. So don’t be a litter bug!

  6. Our environment • Our environment is a delicate balance of life and death tilting on a ball. When we litter that gets washed into our water ways, eaten by animals, and traps animals. The litter we through away doesn’t just end up anywhere it ends up killing animals all over the world. Some of you might say , “ Oh what doesn’t matter there!” but you have to stop and think that not many people live in places where polar bears live. We might be the cause of that. Our littering not only affects us but everywhere else too.

For your reference • The green is 1% and it is only 2 jugs • The purple is 64% and it is only 84 candy wrappers • The turquoise is 2% and it is only 3 cardboard things • The orange is 7% and is only 9 Chinese food cartons • The periwinkle is 5% and is only 7 tissues • The blue is 8% and is only 10 beer bottles • The red is 13 % and only 17 water bottles. • This is the data with in one day!

  12. My conclusion • Over the expanse of many days, I have realized a multitude of things. We only need to do one thing to reduce our ecological footprint. We can reduce it in many ways, but my way is only one and look at the difference I have made. We can join together and create a bright future for both ourselves and mother earth. What a future we could have. Perfect, healthy, and clean. I predict that this solution I have come up with will lead to bigger things like people all over the world doing this. My solution will not only benefit us but our whole world and most importantly our mother earth. I speak to everybody when I say this, Students, it’s time to build a newer and happier Earth. Not everybody can do everything, but everybody can do something for our future.

  13. What is lying ahead. • Our future can be a bright one. But only if we do something about it. We have to stick together. We have to save ourselves from destroying ourselves.
