  2. Historical facts • Primitive humans have used even fallen trees as bridges to cross rivers and streams • Forest tendrils can be intertwined to create a natural version of a suspension bridge

  3. Historical facts continued • Some bridges were even made out of rocks animal hides and logs • Without bridges crossing rivers would be near impossible

  4. Historical facts continued • In the first and second century the romans have had made bridges as part of their culture • Romans have built many of their bridges over ravines one of the surviving examples was built for trajon in ad 105

  5. Historical facts continued • Another example of roman bridges, the Sant, Angelo bridge was built in AD 134 to make an aproach to the mausoleum for Hadrien, now known as the Castel Sant, Angelo

  6. Rope bridges were created by the incan indian tribe in the 1500’s

  7. Historical facts continued • There were a good number of inhabited bridges built in the 17th century • Inhabited bridges were built around houses

  8. Historical facts continued • The construction for the London bridge began in 1176 and was completed 1209 possibly one of the most famous if not the most famous bridge in history
