CRC Update - I • Realignment of the 8-channel CWDM infrastructure between the BADLABTM and the CANARIE Ottawa POP to support Lightpath Services • CWDM Waves are now terminated on a CAT-3750 and can be directed to the Nortel OME 6500 located at 264 Albert or to NRC-Ottawa • The Lightpath Services are used to test and demonstrate UCLP enabled applications as well as the UCLP System Software (Argia) being developed by CRC and its partners (Inocybe and the i2CAT Foundation)

  3. CRC Update - II • Plan to activate 10 GbE circuit • Migrate CRC GigaPOP to use 1550 nm channel on CWDM infrastructure • Used freed up fibre pair to establish 10 GbE circuit between the BADLAB and CANARIE Ottawa POP

CRC Update - III • Argia Users • 2 Argia licenses acquired by CANARIE • HPDMnet Project • Argia server deployed at iCAIR with support for multicast service at the SONET layer (point-2-multipoint on Nortel OME 6500) • Argia server to be deployed at STARLIGHT to virtualize GOLE resources and allow them to be exported for the realization of APN Scenarios

CRC Update - V • Argia Users - continued • HSVO NEP-11 Project • APN connecting NOSM (West in Thunder Bay and East in Sudbury), Mcgill University, SUMMIT Server in Sunnyvale, CRC and NRC (Ottawa and Fredericton) • SAVOIR to provide Coordination of Collaboration Services with calls to APN Scenario Web Services
