Effort at CERN/Operational Tasks/Cost Sharing • Effort at CERN • No problem in first half of 2011 • Things start to get difficult later in 2011, 2012 • Many experts returning to home institutes • Probably plenty of students etc for Primary on-call • Expert back-up is more of an issue • Bruce to formulate requirements and plan on time-scale of next Joint meeting • Operational tasks and shifts • Preliminary class 3 allocations for L1Calo in 2011 made • Need to review later in year for reality check • Cost sharing and new expenditures • Need to come to agreement over how this will work in Upgrade era • Information about old sharing scheme will be distributed • New sharing scheme may have to be rather different Management Committee Summary

Papers/Meetings • Papers and Conferences • Still need to work on PPM and Digital Processor papers • Little/no recent progress • Lucio + one other to start agitating for action • Lucio + Sam for digital paper • Lucio + HC (or HC appointee) for PPM paper • Recent activity: ACES and LHCC poster • Think about conferences for this year – maybe CALOR • Meetings • Next meeting: Stockholm 27th – 29th June • Will concentrate on upgrade and particularly Calorimeter interfaces • And then: CERN 19th – 21st October • Focus to be determined Management Committee Summary

Humboldt/Coordinator/Authorship • Humboldt University • Accepted as full member of L1Calo • Congratulations and welcome again • L1Calo Coordinator Succession • Steve/HC term ends 30th September • Search committee formed to report at Stockholm • Gives time for changeover • Recommendation: 1 ‘operation’ and 1 ‘upgrade’ coordinator • Membership: Chris, Jim, Pete, Hans-Christian • Authorship • Chris described current mechanism in detail • Hopefully process for new L1Calo authors will be smooth! Upgrade • Chris summarized Upgrade structure/activities approval • And how we might best deal with them • Discussion about near/long term projects and responsibilities • Following on from brief ‘expressions of interests’ circulated in February • Several misunderstandings cleared up • Nevertheless, the direction is still not yet clear • Requires detailed discussion (today/near future) of Ian’s proposals and schedules • Should set up meeting in near future if not today • Also realistic assessment of effort needed Management Committee Summary
