ÉTAT DE LA SITUATION ÉCONOMIE MONTRÉALAISE SE TROUVE DANS UNE SITUATION PARADOXALE : • la région possède de nombreux atouts économiques . universités et réseaux de recherche . forte concentration d’emplois dans une gamme de secteurs dynamiques . coût du production compétitif . bonne qualité de vie • la région n’a pas concrétisé son potentiel . croissance de Montréal accuse un retard . niveaux de chômage et de pauvreté élevés . économie totale inférieure à la somme de ses composantes
