Cotillion for Achievement • Scholarship Program • Provides Awards and Recognition to high school seniors who excel in: • Scholastics • Extracurricular Activities • Community Participation • In addition to exhibiting high moral and ethical standards
What’s in it for ME? • Scholarship money for college $1,800; $900 • All-Volunteer Scholarship Board • Work year round to raise funds for scholarships • NO paid staff • 100% of funds raised are to support events and scholarships
How does it work? • 16 finalists selected- 8 males; 8 females • Panel of 5 judges • Presented to the public- Reception • Sunday December 16th, 2018 • Participate in Adventures for Achievement • Individual Interviews • Scholarship Ball • Saturday, February 9th, 2019 • Top two recipients presented with the Award of Distinction
Scoring is based on: • Scholarship 30 points • Extracurricular Activities 30 points • Community Involvement 30 points • Essay 10 points • Interview 100 points TOTAL – 200 points
What are Adventures in AchievementSessions? • Enhance leadership and social skills • Encourage extensive community involvement • Gain experience with community • It is important that all participants take part in these seminars- attendance is required! • Get the opportunity to work with other top students throughout the two-county area!
The BIG Finale! The Cotillion Scholarship Ball • Saturday evening, February 9th, 2019 • Formal dinner/dance • Distinguished Award recipients are announced • Finalists’ families are invited to attend • Cotillion Board Members & Financial Contributors are in attendance as well

Things to Remember! • Separate school and community activities • Do NOT mention your school or community name on the application. If there is a club specific to your school- use a generic name. • For Example: Instead of using Benton Singers use Show Choir • Give the school counselor plenty of time to review your application DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS Friday, October 12th, 5:00PM
