What’s being done • Children are unifying to legalize child labour in order to receive the same protection and rights as adults • Petitions are in order to let people under 14 work legally • There is a bill currently to ban child labour in Bolivia but many oppose it. • Enforcing labour laws in Bolivia would be catastrophic to those who rely on the income of a child working in the mines or shining shoes • They need the income • The Bolivian leader (an ex child worker) wants to lower the working age
