What AKM did so far • 13 Policy Statement and Implementation Guidelines • Established 11 committees • Two years project on Internal Auditing and Systems of Internal Financial Control • MoU with Prime Ministers office and MALG on our future cooperation • Newsletter • Website for AMK • Supporting Municipalities in establishing “Business centres” • Supporting Municipalities in fulfilling “Standards for Kosovo”
What AKM did so far • Inter-ethnic dialogue • Negotiations with KTA on municipal property • Opening web-sites for Municipalities • Drafting municipal strategies on protecting children right and other strategies • Different campaigns (poster campaign to inform citizens about the work of Local Government and Public Meetings) • Providing trainings on different subjects • Sharing experiences with sister associations in SEE and Europe
What are we doing • Involvement of AMK in Law drafting • Running with 11 committees • AMK involvement with MALG on Decentralization process in Kosovo • Providing trainings • Organizing round tables on different subjects • Looking funds for municipalities and for AMK • Preparing Projects for Donor Community
AMK future projects • Two years project with EAR (supporting AMK and Municipalities) • GTZ support “Modernization of Municipal Services” • World Bank project on De-concentration of business registration
