  1. 2012-2013 Preliminary Budget Reductions All of the information in this Power Point is based on where we stand as of February 14th. The information is subject to change based on several financial factors that we do not have as of February 14th. An example would be that we have not received our state aid figures; therefore, the presentation is based on the assumption that the district will receive flat funding.   3. The following slides contain information regarding proposed budget reductions due to the 1.1 million dollar deficit.

  4. Administrative Position • Supervisor of Guidance Position $104,437 This cut results in a guidance counselor being bumped due to the administrative cut. • New administrative realignment, administrative retirement, and administrative transfers $33,336 Total $137,773

  5. High School • Reduction of the Budget by an additional $34,000

  6. High School Business Department/ Co-op Program • Reduction of $5,000

  7. S-Test • Elimination of the 2nd and 10th Grade S-Test $3,600

April - Question 2 • Elementary Instrumental Music Teacher • District Librarian (Remaining Full-time instead of Part-time; Please note this is the only librarian position in the district.) • Winter Cheerleading • Junior High Sports: Boys’ Soccer, Girls’ Soccer, Boys’ Basketball, Girls’ Basketball, Field Hockey, Cross Country, Wrestling, and Track • Varsity Club *Please note all Question 2 items must be approved by the County Office prior to the election. The items that are put on a Question 2 ballot cannot be a part of the Common Core State Standards in any way. Therefore, positions such as: a math teacher, english teacher, science teacher, social studies teacher, or an elementary core content teacher cannot be placed on a Question 2 ballot. There are very strict guidelines as to what can go on a Question 2 ballot.

  14. At a 2% cap for a house assessed at $287,887, the tax increase for the homeowner is $70.32.

  15. Question 2 Information • For a house assessed at $287,887, the approximate tax increase for Question 2 is $110.42.
